Computer training for visually challenged women - The Hindu 23-11-2013

Caliber Training Centre for People with Disability will conduct a free computer training programme for visually challenged women on November 24.
According to Surya Nagappan, Managing Trustee of UDIS Forum, the training will be sponsored and conducted by Muthu Empower Trust. Each training module will be for a month with weekend classes.
Awareness
“The Trust has come forward to conduct this training on a continuous basis, in batches, for interested women. This is because there is increased awareness among industry and corporates about employing visually challenged women.
UDIS Forum and Caliber are approaching the HR departments of various companies and motivating them to employ visually challenged women who are well trained,” Mr. Surya said.
The Trust was interested in conducting training and also employing visually challenged women, he added.
Caliber was inviting applications from interested women who are studying and working for the training. It will be inaugurated by M. Sinduja Anandhan, Managing Trustee of the Trust, in the presence of G. Balathandayutham, HR Manager, Bi Metal.
